Abount Sunsunism
Quite possibly, predating Hinduism, the Spiritual Order of the Great Goddess Sunsuna is one of the oldest religious practices known to man. Its origins can be found in the island of Malta at various temples, built in honor of the Goddess. The temples dedicated to the Goddess Sunsuna are confirmed by archaeologists to be the oldest existing architectural structures, they predate the Egyptian Pyramids and even Stonehenge. Practitioners of Sunsunism have kept alive the ancient Sunsun practices and beliefs of pre-Christian Malta (whenever possible) and adapting them to contemporary life. The result is a religion that is both old and new, both "traditional" and creative.
Order of Sunsun; Spiritual & Ethical Overview: Sunsunism is a life-affirming, earth- and nature-oriented religion which sees all of life as sacred and interconnected, honors the Great Goddess Sunsuna as the embodiment of divinity, immanent as well as transcendent, and experiences the divine as both feminine and as masculine, as well. Like the spiritual world view and practices of Wiccans, Native Americans and Taoists, the Sunsun spiritual practices are intended to attune humanity to the natural rhythms and cycles of the universe as a means of personally experiencing divinity. Rituals, therefore, coincide with stellar, solar and lunar cycles, the change of the seasons, solstices and equinoxes and days which fall in between these. This calendar of celebrations is referred to as the "Mnaider". All Sunsuns consider their practice a priest/esshood, akin to the mystery schools of classical Greece and Rome, involving years of training and passage through life-transforming initiatory rituals. All Sunsuns agree on an ethical code known as the Sunsun Crede, which honors the freedom of each individual.
The Order and its Activities:
